Dragon Age: Origins Hints

Investigate the Circle Tower.

  • 1 of 10: Loot the locked chest in Wynne's room, then approach her barrier and get her to lower it.
  • 2 of 10: Have your party stand their ground in Wynne's room, then use the Lead-Them-Off Strategy on the abominations in the three library rooms ahead.
  • 3 of 10: When you open the door that leads to the central chamber, you'll find a greater rage demon plus several lesser creatures. You'll definitely want to hang back and try to lure them to you a few at a time.
  • 4 of 10: Search the central chamber to find another torn book, a charred corpse, and a soldier's corpse. Also, you can mark one of the chairs next to the central table as a mystical site of power if you've gotten the Mages' Collective's "Places of Power" quest.
  • 5 of 10: Finish the "Summoning Sciences" optional quest, then use the door in the central chamber that leads to the Senior Mage Quarters floor.
  • 6 of 10: You have to go through that floor and two more before you can enter the Harrowing Chamber, where you'll find the source of the abominations.
  • 7 of 10: After entering the Harrowing Chamber and talking to Uldred, you'll have to fight him in demon form, plus some of his already-converted abominations.
  • 8 of 10: After Uldred is dead, loot him for items, then talk to First Enchanter Irving.
  • 9 of 10: When you talk to Knight-Commander Greagoir, you'll have to decide whether you'll get mages or templars added to your growing army.
  • 10 of 10: If you want mages, say that you believe order has been restored to the circle, then talk to First Enchanter Irving. Otherwise, say that we may regret it later if even one blood mage is spared. (You don't need to worry about Wynne leaving or attacking you either way, though you'll get less of an approval gain with her if you choose the templars.)
