Dragon Age: Origins Hints
Dust Town Tour
of 9: The entrance to Dust Town is at the south end of the Orzammar Commons' east section.
of 9: As you move forward, several Dust Town thugs will attack you.
of 9: Near them is the guy you can get the "Precious Metals" optional quest from, though you may not want to since it requires such a large initial investment.
of 9: There may be some rubble nearby that you can examine for a codex entry. If not, you've already gotten that codex entry elsewhere.
of 9: Just past Rogek is the door to Alimar's Emporium. Go inside to do merchant business with Alimar, who sells the Bard specialization manual among other things.
of 9: Read the assembly directive near the emporium for a codex entry, then talk to Nadezda and the idle dwarf if you want to. (You can donate money to Nadezda, but it won't do you any good.)
of 9: Look to the right of a locked door you can't open yet to find the woman who can give you the "Zerlinda's Woe" optional quest.
of 9: Go south from her to find the door to a slums house. (Note that it used to be your house if your main character is a dwarf commoner.)
of 9: Enter the house and check its back room for two locked chests to loot.
