Dragon Age: Origins Hints
Brave the traps and make your way to the Anvil.
of 9: Move along the stone passage to find a dwarf corpse and a darkspawn corpse, followed by an old dwarven camp.
of 9: Use the Lead-Them-Off Strategy to fight the darkspawn in the camp and the tunnel just east of it a few at a time. (Note that the tunnel enemies include an ogre.)
of 9: After they're all dead, search the camp to find a dwarf corpse, a darkspawn corpse, a broken crate, a barrel, and three mana-restoring lyrium veins. In the tunnel, you'll find two darkspawn corpses, three dwarf corpses, and two more lyrium veins.
of 9: At the end of the tunnel is a room filled with poison gas.
of 9: Past a short tunnel with a dwarf corpse in it, you'll come to a room that has a couple of traps and two pairs of golems that activate when you get near them.
of 9: Past that, you'll finally reach the room with the Anvil of the Void, where you'll meet up with its golem-ized creator, Caridin.
of 9: During conversation with Caridin, you'll have to decide whether to help him destroy the anvil or help Branka secure it for use. Either way will get you what you need for the paragon quest, but siding with Branka will also get you some golems for your army.
of 9: Whichever side you choose, it'll start a monumentally tough combat. You won't be able to run back into the tunnel approaching the room, so you'll have to run around it to avoid a pounding while using spells and ranged attacks on all the hostile golems. (Also note all the lyrium veins that can be used for mana restoration.)
