Dragon Age II Hints
Search the Lowtown foundry for Leandra.
1 of 5: This objective is identical to the "Follow the trail of blood" objective (starting with entering the Dark Foundry) until you find the insane killer in his lair.
2 of 5: At that point, things will diverge a bit depending on who you have in your party. If Varric is with you, he'll kill Gascard during the dialogue, and things will end up the same as in the above-mentioned objective.
3 of 5: If Varric isn't with you, Gascard will want to join the killer, who turns out to be his old mentor.
4 of 5: If your character has chosen enough diplomatic options in past conversations to get the "look at what he's become" dialogue option, choose it to get Gascard to fight on your side. Otherwise, choose another option and then quickly kill Gascard during the first wave of enemies.
5 of 5: If Gascard survives the quest, you can find him in his previous spot at the south end of Darktown. Talk to him and choose all diplomatic options in order to get a reward at the start of Act III.
