What if I sided with Meredith?

  • 1 of 9: In the Gallows courtyard, you can talk to companions before telling Meredith that you're ready. After a cut-scene, you'll enter the Templar Hall, and a bunch of mages will be waiting for you ahead.
  • 2 of 9: As soon as that battle is over, Anders will show up (if you didn't execute him or have him rejoin you) and attack with a few other mages.
  • 3 of 9: Next up is a cut-scene in which you can decide the fate of a few Circle mages who surrender. After that, go up the left (west) stairs to find a corpse to loot and a door you can go through to find some optional combat and loot.
  • 4 of 9: When you're ready to move on, go up the central stairs and over to the right, where there's a door you can go through.
  • 5 of 9: Charge the mages in the room past the door and take them down quickly, then deal with the rage demon that appears. Watch for two traps near the east end of the room, plus a corpse you can loot once the battle is over.
  • 6 of 9: Past that room's north door, turn left and go through the next north door to find Sandal running a store and an enchantment apparatus. He also brought your storage chest from the Hawke Estate in case you want anything from it. (Note that this is a good opportunity to stock up on useful potions.)
  • 7 of 9: Go through the west door and run over to the red carpet to get six shades to rise up around you. After you finish them off, three rage demons will appear.
  • 8 of 9: Use the north door to enter the Gallows Prison area, where Orsino will turn himself into a huge abomination and attack.
  • 9 of 9: Loot Orsino's body and the two nearby chests, then go down to the prison's southern exit to find that Sandal has moved his shop there. Do any final business there that you need to, then use the exit to return to the Gallows Courtyard, where the two "who to support" choice paths intersect.
