Dragon Age II Hints
Return the amulet to Keeper Marethari in the Dalish camp.
1 of 2: Look around for optional combat and loot, then return to the cavern exit.
2 of 2: Use the cavern exit to get a cut-scene that'll end the quest, after which Merrill will become a companion. You'll also get her easy-to-complete "Welcome Home" companion quest.
