Dragon Age II Hints

A Bitter Pill

  • 1 of 9: NOTE: This quest will only be available if you got Fenris to become a companion in Act I.
  • 2 of 9: After finishing the "Speak to Fenris" quest that you start the act with, put Fenris in your party and travel back and forth between Kirkwall and Sundermount until you get an encounter with Tevinter slavers.
  • 3 of 9: The Tevinter Magister that's right next to you should be your first target. After you kill him and the rest of the slavers, Fenris will talk to you and give you this quest.
  • 4 of 9: You can travel straight to the new Holding Caves area on the Free Marches map, or you can go back to Kirkwall and get an optional random encounter first. (Note that doing so will unavoidably get you some rivalry points with Fenris.)
  • 5 of 9: Move up the sloping path to find an embrium plant, then move on to start a large multi-wave combat with slavers.
  • 6 of 9: Kill them all and loot their chest, then go south to find a few more slavers near the entrance to the Abandoned Slaver Den.
  • 7 of 9: As you fight those slavers, watch out for reinforcements that include a mage to appear in the area to the east. After you finish them off, look around for loot.
  • 8 of 9: Enter the Abandoned Slaver Den and make your way through it to find Hadriana.
  • 9 of 9: Travel to the Hawke Estate to talk to Fenris further and finish the quest. (Note that if you hired the elf servant, you'll find her standing near the fireplace, and can talk to her.)
