Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Hints
How do I get past the creatures in the cave?
of 10: One option that's always available to you is to just go up and fight them. (Or to let them see you and come to fight you.)
of 10: But if you're reading these hints, then you're probably looking for a stealthier option. And thankfully, one is available.
of 10: As always, when you're trying to be stealthy, make sure to hold down the sneak button for whatever controls you're using. And this time, try to use a big rock to hide behind.
of 10: The best hiding place is to your right and ahead of where you first enter -- there's only one large rock in that direction.
of 10: Pay attention to what the creature does -- it follows a fairly predictable pattern.
of 10: It goes on a fixed set of rounds, stopping pretty much directly on the other side of the rock you can hide behind.
of 10: The creature will then stay still for a little while. This may be a good opportunity to sneak past it, before it continues on its rounds.
of 10: Once you're past the first creature, you'll see a second creature on the other side of the landing and the doorway. The basic idea is the same here.
of 10: You can also buy yourself a little extra time to sneak by using the same basic trick as on the first creature.
of 10: As long as you're on the landing, it won't be able to see you. (But be careful, because depending on what you did before, the first creature might see you now if you're not quick -- that's why throwing the pebble helps.)
