Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Hints
I'm outside the factory at St. Petersburg, but the gate is locked.
1 of 15: No matter what you do, the lock on the front gate is too secure for your hacking abilities.
2 of 15: Explore around the area to see if you can find an alternate way in.
3 of 15: There's a second gate to the right of the factory building itself, which is unlocked. You can just use that one and enter.
4 of 15: Notice that there's a fire escape on the side of the factory.
5 of 15: If only you could move things in this area around a bit, you might find a way to get onto the fire escape, and then onto the building.
6 of 15: No, this isn't the time for crate pushing. You're going to need to be a bit more dramatic in creating a path.
7 of 15: Notice that the car closest to the building still seems to have some power.
8 of 15: The controls to the car are located just near the passenger side mirror, in between the mirror and the tire. You should be able to look at those -- in addition to the larger frame for the car itself.
9 of 15: But before you can do anything with the controls, you're going to need to be able to reach them physically.
10 of 15: Use your lockpick on the controls. That will give you the usual sort of lockpicking game with the overlapping circles.
11 of 15: Now, you can reach the controls, but you still need to use them.
12 of 15: Use your mobile on the controls, and you'll get one of those hacking grids where you have to match the symbols. This is a little harder than previous matching games, because you have more symbols to match at the bottom of the screen, but the basic idea is still the same as it was every other time you encountered this game.
13 of 15: If you've done both of those tasks successfully, the car should back up, stopping in front of a pile of boxes.
14 of 15: You can climb onto the boxes, and then onto the car.
15 of 15: From there, just climb onto the fire escape balcony, and on the next screen, climb up the fire escape ladder. This should put you on the roof of the factory.
