Ending Each Day

  • Ending days in this game can be frustrating because the game is VERY picky.  Sometimes (but not always) actions need to be performed in a certain order.  You must have found all of the Inventory objects before the day will end.  (I will cover all of these in the hints for each day.)

    If you have done everything, the Quiz for the day will kick in.

    If you are having trouble, the following checklist might be of help:
    1) Talk to all characters about all topics (including Holmes/Watson if they are present)
    2) Talk to all available characters a second time
    3) Click on *every single* clickable spot (try the magnifying glass, test tube or tape measure) -- this includes wall paintings, footprints, marks on doors and door frames, etc.
    4) Unpack containers (if possible) in inventory
    5) Read *all of the pages* of documents, books, pieces of paper, etc.
    6) Solve all puzzles
    7) If Holmes says he should "show one of the hints", click an inventory object on another person.  (See the Conversations topic)
    7) When possible, analyze all new evidence at Baker Street.
