Love and Marriage
To fall in love and get married, start by raising your attractiveness factor (viewable under "Hero Status / Personality" on the in-game menu) as much as you can by wearing attractive clothes and getting attractive tattoos and hair styles. It also helps to have a high renown level (see Gaining Renown).
Then pick a target ... uh, a woman, that is, and start using the renown expressions flirt, sexy hero pose, and manly arm pump (some of which only become available to you as you gain renown) on her. You can woo just about any woman in the game who has a blue aura about her, so pick one and get started. After using a few flirty expressions, offer some simple gifts like chocolates and roses, which can be bought from the trader near the gate in Bowerstone South among other places. A heart icon will appear above the woman's head and get bigger and bigger as you succeed in more flirting and gift-giving.
Alternate the above-mentioned expressions with the above-mentioned gifts until the woman's aura changes from blue to green, then talk to her to get her to ask for a ring. Now you can give her a real (not a fake) wedding ring and then buy yourselves a nice little marital home. (Both ring and home can be bought conveniently in Bowerstone South and/or Oakvale.) Then talk to the woman again to get the choice to marry her.
After the wedding ceremony cut-scene, you'll both end up in your wedding home and you'll receive a wedding dowry in gold coins plus a renown bonus. If you want to "consummate" your marriage, you'll need to flirt and give gifts to your wife while in your marital home until she consents (her aura will turn green again).
NOTES: You can have more than one wife at a time, but not in the same village. Even if you buy multiple houses in the same area, only one of them can be used as a marital home. Also, do visit your spouses with gifts and manly poses every now and then, and refrain from physically abusing them, using rude expressions, or doing bad things in their presence. They will divorce you in extreme cases of abuse or neglect, and you'll get tons of evil alignment points!
