Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
How am I going to get through all of that?
of 12: Slowly and carefully. Remember that security holograms usually have reassignment terminals and/or emitters nearby that you can use to get them out of your way.
of 12: In this case, the emitters are hard to get to, and all require a repair skill of 100 to disable, so you'll probably need to stick to the reassignment terminals.
of 12: TIP: Before you start on the process of getting through the area, you might want to get a terminal password that could be very useful a bit later on.
of 12: Stand near the doorway that leads into the area and look straight ahead to see a terminal over on the other side. That's the first one you're going for.
of 12: Watch the hologram that patrols around the left part of the area. His route takes him right past that terminal, and you don't want him to see you as you go for it.
of 12: When it looks clear, quicksave, then run straight ahead to reach the terminal. Use its "set behavior" option to pull one of the holograms away from an area you'll want to be going through soon.
of 12: Retreat back the way you came and wait for any holograms who turned yellow to turn blue again. If any turned red, quickrestore and try again.
of 12: After quicksaving again, make a quick dash over to the NE corner of the area, avoiding holograms as best you can. Once again, quickrestore and try again if any of them turn red.
of 12: From the NE corner, you can go down some stairs and into an enclosed structure that has this area's most important terminal in it.
of 12: With it, you can shut off the alarms (which disables the indestructible speakers) and turn off the force field that covers the northern exit.
of 12: After you do that, use the terminal's "set behavior" option to get the hologram that's guarding the northern exit to go somewhere else. You'll then only have to worry about one patrolling hologram that's sometimes between you and the exit when you go for it.
of 12: Watch through the enclosed structure's north window, then make a quick dash for the exit when it looks clear.
