Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Post-Quest Notes

  • 1 of 9: Since you can't ever return to the Sierra Madre after going back to the Mojave Wasteland, you should finish exploring and looting any accessible areas you haven't already thoroughly scoured yet. (Note that all regions except the casino's vault are still accessible.)
  • 2 of 9: Use however many trips are necessary to haul all of the loot you want to take back with you to the garbage can that's closest to the Mojave Wasteland gate. After you're sure you're done in Sierra Madre, you can take everything from the garbage can at once and use the gate to leave.
  • 3 of 9: After the ending cut-scene, you'll find yourself back in the Abandoned BoS Bunker, in the same room you were gassed in earlier. Stand and listen to the new repeating radio message if you like, then turn the radio off or shoot it out.
  • 4 of 9: If you carried a huge load of stuff through with you, go over to one of the nearby footlockers and unload enough into it that you can move normally again.
  • 5 of 9: To get all of your old equipment back, go up the stairs to the bunker's entry room, and it'll automatically reappear in your inventory. If that overloads you, dump some items on the nearby corpse.
  • 6 of 9: Go back down the stairs and enter the side room on the left to find that both the terminal and the Brotherhood footlocker are now unlocked. You can get a copy of Father Elijah's robes from the footlocker if you want (though they've got no special attributes at all), and you can download a holomessage from the terminal.
  • 7 of 9: If you check the holomessage in your Pip-Boy's Data/Misc section, you'll see that it's tagged for Veronica.
  • 8 of 9: The terminal with the holomessage also has two other messages. They inform you that the chemistry set in the center of the room can be used once per day to gather cloud residue (Science 25+ required), and the little wall-safe-like dropbox just outside the room will have 100 Sierra Madre chips in it every three days. (Note that it'll also have a complimentary voucher every three days if you gambled enough in the casino to win a voucher there.)
  • 9 of 9: The vending machine in one corner of the room will be available for you to use just like the ones in Sierra Madre. Be sure to save up items that you can turn in for chips (cheap outfits, packs and cartons of cigarettes) and bring them every now and then to supplement your dropbox income. Also, if you got the Coin Operator perk from Christine, you can save up fission batteries and scrap metal to turn into Sierra Madre chips at workbenches.
