Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Travel to the Dead Horses camp at Eastern Virgin.

  • 1 of 8: Loot the White Leg guy that Follows-Chalk killed for you, then look a bit east of him for one of the region's many hollow white logs that you can loot. (These are like the hollowed-out rocks in the Mojave Wasteland, and can only have one or two cheap items in them.)
  • 2 of 8: Move NE along the path until you see a yao guai kill a green lizard near a path split. Stop when Follows-Chalk says to, and the yao guai will run off without attacking you.
  • 3 of 8: Check the green lizard for items, then go east at the path split if you want to take a shortcut. You can then keep going east, or you can go north first to find two yao guai to kill and discover The Spine for fast travel.
  • 4 of 8: When you reach the old road, start watching for insects to kill. Keep going east until you discover the Zion Valley Welcome Booth.
  • 5 of 8: Look around for a campfire and some items inside the booth, including a hat that'll increase your Survival skill by 5. There's also a rad-free toilet that you can sip from for health.
  • 6 of 8: Go down the path that starts just north of the booth to discover Eastern Virgin. (Note that the stream is also good for rad-free sipping.) Go NE across the stream to find a small shelter with a bed and a sack of goods, then follow the stream east.
  • 7 of 8: Look down at the stream as you go, since there are several bear traps set along it. You can either go around them or disarm them for XP.
  • 8 of 8: Watch for a small side area with an entrance to Fallen Rock Cave on your left. Soon after you pass it, you'll approach the Dead Horses' camp and get the next objective.
