How can I get the bomb defused?
1 of 7: South of Ranger Grant's station is a guarded ladder that leads to the helipad.
2 of 7: Either wear an NCR Engineering Jumpsuit or talk to the guard and pass a Speech 50 check to get access to the ladder.
3 of 7: Climb it and stand out of the way as the vertibird lands, then wait for the president to enter the visitor center.
4 of 7: Watch the suspicious engineer as he noses around the vertibird, then go up to it after he leaves.
5 of 7: Activate it and examine it. If your Repair or Explosives skill is 50+, you'll find and disable a bomb.
6 of 7: That'll get you the "Report your findings to Ranger Grant" objective, so fulfill it by climbing back down the ladder and talking to Ranger Grant. (If he won't talk to you at first, wait a minute or so and try again.)
7 of 7: After you tell Grant about the bomb, just stand and wait until you're credited for completing the quest successfully.
