Fallout: New Vegas Hints
How can I destroy the Brotherhood's bunker?
of 12: On level 2 of the bunker, go east through the datastore room, then turn south to find the room with the Self-destruct Terminal on the west wall.
of 12: It's locked at a level of 100, so your Science skill will have to be 100 in order to hack it. Thankfully, there's another way.
of 12: Use the nearby Self-destruct Authorization Terminal to learn that you can generate a password after inserting three special keycards.
of 12: They're in the possessions of Elder McNamara, Head Paladin Hardin, and Head Scribe Taggart. You'll need to find all three of those guys and sneakily pickpocket their keycards. (Note that the names of the elder and the head paladin may be different if you've finished the Brotherhood's "Still in the Dark" faction quest.)
of 12: They'll all probably be somewhere in the level 2 area, so it shouldn't take long to locate them all. Remember to crouch down behind them and quicksave before attempting to grab their keycards.
of 12: Once you have them all, use the authorization terminal and choose to generate a self-destruct password.
of 12: You can then access the Self-destruct Terminal and begin the bunker self-destruct sequence.
of 12: When you confirm it, all of the Brothers will turn hostile to you, and you'll have to make a long and dangerous run to the exit before the place blows up. (Unless you had the foresight to pickpocket their ammo earlier, in which case the run won't be nearly so dangerous.)
of 12: If you find that impossible to survive, try crouching and using a stealth boy right before beginning the self-destruct. Even with that, it can be very hard to make it out without being detected.
of 12: If you're not wearing any official Brotherhood of Steel faction outfits when you initiate the self-destruct, putting one on immediately afterward may prevent most of the Brothers from turning hostile. The ones in the room with the self-destruct terminal probably still will, so sneak or run out of there as quickly as you can.
of 12: If your Science skill is 75+, one good way to get a Brotherhood outfit and thin out the ranks is to sneakily hack the terminal that's on the wall of Paladin Ramos' security office on level 1. Use it to reprogram the turrets to target registered Brotherhood personnel, then wait for the turrets to kill off most of level 1's occupants. (Note that this probably won't turn anyone hostile to you right away, but it'll happen sooner or later, so don't reprogram the turrets until you're ready to finish the bunker-destroying.)
of 12: If you give up on destroying the bunker, switch to allying with the Brotherhood by finishing their faction quests. (Or just ignore them if that's an option.)
