1 of 5: You could get regular mantis eggs by killing and looting mantises in various areas. After you get 12 separate mantis eggs, they'll transform into a pile of giant mantis eggs, and you'll get the next objective.
2 of 5: One place you can find lots of mantises is Vault 22 (location 10 on the Zone 1 Map). That's also where you can find a pre-made pile of giant mantis eggs.
3 of 5: After killing the mantises outside the vault and using its overgrown entrance to get in, go through a door and down some stairs to find an elevator.
4 of 5: If your Repair skill is 50+, you can repair the elevator. Otherwise, you'll have to use the nearby stairs to reach the vault's lower levels.
5 of 5: The pile of giant mantis eggs is in a cave tunnel on the Food Production level. The door to the tunnels is locked and unpickable, but you can bypass that little detail if you're able to repair the elevator.
