Fallout: New Vegas Hints
My character is so incredibly slow! How can I speed him up?
1 of 4: Unfortunately, there are very few ways other than the PC Cheat Codes to increase your character's base movement speed. You don't have a Speed attribute or Athletics skill that you can raise like in Oblivion.
2 of 4: The main thing you can do about it is refrain from doing things that slow your character down when you're wanting him to move as fast as he can.
3 of 4: The five things that can slow you down are: walking or sneaking instead of running, carrying more than your max carry weight, wearing heavy armor (like power armor), having a weapon equipped and/or out (especially a two-handed weapon), and one or both of your legs being crippled.
4 of 4: NOTE: There is a perk called Travel Light that can increase your running speed under certain circumstances. (See the Level 4 Perks list.)
