Fallout: New Vegas Hints

Beagle wants a new sheriff for Primm. He suggested an ex-sheriff NCRCF ....

  • 1 of 8: Besides the two suggestions Beagle gave you, there is one possibility that's closer by.
  • 2 of 8: Talk to the protectron in the Vikki and Vance Casino named Primm Slim about being the sheriff. If you have 3 fission batteries and 4 conductors or a Science skill of 30, you can reprogram it to be the new sheriff.
  • 3 of 8: If you can't do that and don't want to wait until you can, leave the casino and go down the road that leads west. Watch out for frag mines on the overpass, then enter the NCR camp and find Lieutenant Hayes in his tent.
  • 4 of 8: Tell him that Primm is in dire need of some real law to get the "Hayes and the NCR will protect Primm if they get some additional military ..." objective.
  • 5 of 8: Your only other choice resides in the NCR Correctional Facility (location 16 on the Zone 3 Map), so head NE to get there.
  • 6 of 8: Go through the facility's front gate and pay Dawes 100 caps to get in or pickpocket his key.
  • 7 of 8: Enter the Visitors Center area and talk to the guy named Meyers about what he did before he ended up incarcerated. You can then ask him to become Primm's new sheriff to get the "Meyers, a former sheriff from the NCRCF, is willing to be Sheriff of ..." objective.
  • 8 of 8: TIP: If you get Meyers to be the new sheriff, Johnson Nash will give you a discount at his store. Getting Primm Slim to be sheriff will get you no discount, and getting the NCR to take over will force you to pay NCR taxes in addition to having no discount.
