1 of 3: Return to Polatli and tell him you're through helping Dr. Richards, but not before reading the notes below.
2 of 3: The next stage of this quest takes you to Nelson, where the "We Are Legion" and "Back in Your Own Backyard" quests also take place. If you want to finish this quest, you can forget about doing the Legion quest, but it would help to do the other quest now.
3 of 3: The number and quality of NCR troops that'll help you attack Nelson depends on what camp morale is when you tell Polatli that you're ready for the assault. Before you do that, you should finish the "Legion Ear Collector" undocumented quest to get morale up high.
