Fallout 2 Hints

Find the NavCom part.

  • 1 of 10: You will get this quest when you try to take the tanker to reach the Enclave.
  • 2 of 10: Try to use the navigational computer on the bridge of the tanker to find out about the missing part.
  • 3 of 10: The Captain of the tanker won't talk to you until you've done a good deed for someone else on the ship.  And he'll probably have some good advice for you.
  • 4 of 10: Like freeing Badger's girlfriend.
  • 5 of 10: He says that an old vault might have the part you need.
  • 6 of 10: Try Vault 13.
  • 7 of 10: You'll find the NavCom part in a locker on the third floor of the vault.
  • 8 of 10: You'll need to get past a locked door to install it.
  • 9 of 10: Namely, it's the door at the bottom of the ship that requires a FOB.
  • 10 of 10: Then, just open the door, climb the ladder, and use the part on one of the computers.  (I used it on the one to the right of the group of computers. Not all of the computers seemed to want to take the part for some reason.)
