Fallout 2 Hints
Steal the vertibird plans.
1 of 9: If you delivered the vertibird plans already, both the Shi and the Hubologists will ask you to steal the plans for them.
2 of 9: Only one person can help you here.
3 of 9: Someone who's a computer expert.
4 of 9: Namely, Badger.
5 of 9: Ask him to steal the plans from whomever has them. But be warned that you can only ask one favor or set of favors for him -- make sure that you have everything you need out of Badger when you ask. (Although he never says he'll only help you once, you never get a chance to talk to him again, at least in a full conversation.)
6 of 9: In particular, make sure you have fuel for the tanker before proceeding.
7 of 9: You can, however, ask Badger to both steal the plans and the fuel as a "single" favor.
8 of 9: You can then deliver the copy of the plans yourself.
9 of 9: The Shi emporer also gave me a choice that appeared to help me steal the plans from the Shi, but I never actually managed to get the plans by selecting this option. I can't say precisely why that option didn't work, though.
