Fallout 2 Hints

Fuel the tanker.

  • 1 of 13: One way to get this quest is to try to take the tanker to the Enclave.
  • 2 of 13: Try to use the navigational computer on the bridge of the tanker to find out about the lack of fuel.
  • 3 of 13: The Captain of the tanker won't talk to you until you've done a good deed for someone else on the ship.  And he'll probably have some good advice for you.
  • 4 of 13: Like freeing Badger's girlfriend.
  • 5 of 13: He suggests that either the Shi or the Hubologists have the fuel.
  • 6 of 13: When you start out the game, the Shi will be the ones with the fuel.
  • 7 of 13: You could just steal the fuel.
  • 8 of 13: Or you could trade for it.
  • 9 of 13: Get some hardened power armor for one of the Shi scientists (Dr. Jing), and he'll divert the fuel for you.
  • 10 of 13: You could also ask the Shi emporer directly.
  • 11 of 13: Just solve Ken Lee's two quests to gain admission to see the Emporer.  (The form of the first depends on what you've done before this point.)
  • 12 of 13: Or, you could confront the Shi emporer and force him to give it to you.
  • 13 of 13: In either method involving the Shi emporer, once you're logged onto the computer, just look for the menu item to transfer the fuel, and select it.
