Fallout 2 Hints

Deliver some hardened power armor.

  • 1 of 5: Dr. Jing, one of the scientists in the Shi temple, will agree to trade you fuel for hardened power armor.
  • 2 of 5: Crockett in the Hubologist camp will upgrade power armor to the hardened version.
  • 3 of 5: His price is $10000, but if you have already gotten Dr. Jing's quest, you can offer Crockett the fuel in exchange for one free upgrade.
  • 4 of 5: You can upgrade a total of two pieces of power armor.  I personally would recommend holding onto both pieces and instead find another way to get the fuel that Dr. Jing promises, but it's really up to you.
  • 5 of 5: Also, note that this quest becomes impossible to perform once you kill AHS-9 -- the only thing Crockett will do is ask you not to kill him.
