Fallout 2 Hints
Get the vertibird plans.
1 of 10: You will get this quest from a couple of different people in the game.
2 of 10: The guard at the Brotherhood of Steel will ask you to get the plans, as will the assistant to the Shi Emporer, if you ask to the the Emporer.
3 of 10: The Hubologist scientist at the shuttle docks will also ask you to bring him the plans, if you have joined the Hubologists.
4 of 10: The vertibird plans are located at the Navarro base.
5 of 10: You will find them above ground, inside the base itself.
6 of 10: Look in the building with the broken truck in front of it, to the northeast of that map section.
7 of 10: They're in a locker in that room. You can just take them, although you may have to fight off some guards, depending on how you chose to get here. (Also, note that you will be perpetually stuck in combat mode if you come in fighting and leave any of the turrets standing ... or at least I was when I played through the game and took this route. That is, I could exit combat mode but would immediately re-enter it.)
8 of 10: You will have to make a choice about whom to give the plans to, although it's not necessarily a single choice.
9 of 10: The Brotherhood of Steel person will make a copy of the plans, while the Hubologists and Shi will take the originals. So I'd recommend handing over the plans to the Brotherhood first if you choose to do this, and then you can pick one of the other two sides to get the originals.
10 of 10: You may still, however, have an opportunity to steal the plans back, if you gave the plans to either the Hubologists or the Shi and later change your mind about your choice.
