Fallout 2 Hints
How can I end Jet addiction?
1 of 4: You'll get a quest to do this in Vault City.
2 of 4: From Dr. Troy. He'll ask you to smuggle in some Jet.
3 of 4: Eventually, you can return to Dr. Troy and get a sample of the Jet antidote. You can also deliver some to Dr. Johnson in Redding.
4 of 4: Note that I found that if I gave the samples to Dr. Troy and then _didn't_ go to pick up the antidote, the Mordino family would die off (having supported none of the families in New Reno). But if I claimed the samples of the antidote and gave them to Dr. Johnson, the ending actually got worse -- with the Mordinos spreading Jet throughout the area. This doesn't make any logical sense to me -- I wouldn't think that taking two vials of antidote and delivering one to another doctor would make the cure for Jet suddenly disappear. I suspect poor scripting (i.e., a bug) here.
