Meet Paladin Tristan at the Rockland Car Tunnel.
1 of 5: Exit to the courtyard and search it for aqua pura crates if you want to, then go stash what you have before going to the Jefferson Memorial. There, you can loot more aqua pura crates and (maybe) help a water merchant fight off some Enclave attackers on the bridge.
2 of 5: Another thing you might want to do now is go get yourself one of the new tri-beam laser rifles. See the Misc. Notes to learn where to find them.
3 of 5: When you're ready, travel to the map marker that's near the SW corner of the world map. How long a trip that'll be depends on whether or not you've already discovered some nearby locations, such as the Dunwich Building.
4 of 5: When you reach the Rockland Car Tunnel, enter it through its door, then go down the corridor until you emerge in a large cave. (Don't miss the corridor's small side supply room on the way.)
5 of 5: Approach Paladin Tristan in the center of the cave to get him to talk to you about the upcoming assault.
