Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Misc. Notes
1 of 6: Having this add-on active will raise the level limit to 30. This applies to all characters, including new ones, so it's to your advantage to install this module before starting a new character, or at least before he reaches level 20. That way, you can get him to level 30 without wasting any XP.
2 of 6: If you finished the main quest series at least once before getting this module, you'll undoubtedly be looking forward to putting Colonel Autumn's super-cool laser pistol to good use. However, you'll find that this add-on sabotages it, making it only a little better than regular laser pistols.
3 of 6: This add-on alters all followers so that they'll gain a few hit points every time you level up. Somehow, this glitches the three creature followers (Fawkes, Sergeant RL-3, and Dogmeat) into having truly vast numbers of hit points. Once you're level 30, both Fawkes and Dogmeat will have 15,000 hit points! This is clearly an unintended effect, and it may be "fixed" in a future patch. Until then, get Dogmeat and either Fawkes or RL-3 and take full advantage of their ultimate toughness. (It's too bad that none of the other add-ons allow you to bring followers along.)
4 of 6: Having this add-on active also means that you can encounter the powerful new super mutant overlords, feral ghoul reavers, and albino radscorpions in various places once you're high-level enough. All three of those fiends are major threats, and are best faced with heavy weapons and explosives (and Fawkes at your side).
5 of 6: The new heavy incinerator and Tesla cannon weapons are easy to find while doing the quests, but the new tri-beam laser rifle isn't. The only way to get any of those is to kill super mutant overlords who have them.
6 of 6: Another thing that's added on is the existence of aqua pura water caravans. These usually aren't of any particular use to you, though you can barter with the caravan's scavenger. Some of the more interesting encounters are summarized below.
