Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Investigate the Outcast Radio Signal.
of 11: Go to your Pip-Boy's Data/Radio section to find a new signal called "Outcast Distress Signal."
of 11: If you listen to it, you'll find it to be very short and unhelpful.
of 11: Make this quest active to get a quest arrow that points to a spot near the SW corner of the western D.C. metro ruins area.
of 11: The fast-travel spot that it's closest to is the Red Racer Factory. If you haven't discovered that location yet, find it on the Zone 8 map in the main Fallout 3 hint file, then go discover it.
of 11: From the factory's front doors, head south and down a slope to find a rubble-blocked metro entrance.
of 11: Look on the wall near it to find a door to the Bailey's Crossroads Metro area.
of 11: After going through the door, move along the maintenance tunnel until you emerge in a wider tunnel, then turn right to reach the mezzanine.
of 11: Look around for some ghouls to kill and some loot to grab (including on the lower floor), then enter the wide tunnel that starts on the east side of the upper floor.
of 11: Look for more misc. loot (and a water fountain) as you move along it, then go through the exit gate to reach the outdoor area named Bailey's Crossroads.
of 11: After you exit, take your time looking around for misc. loot before you climb the stairs. There's a big battle between super mutants and Brotherhood outcasts going on up there.
of 11: Hang back near the top of the stairs and let them fight it out until this objective registers as finished. (Or if that takes too long, go out and finish up the shootin' yourself.)
