Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
How can I get to where the next quest starts?
of 11: While talking to Wernher, ask if you can smuggle a weapon in.
of 11: This will get you either a concealed .32 pistol or a concealed switchblade, depending on whether you choose the gun or the knife. (They're both very weak weapons, so it really doesn't make much difference.)
of 11: As you move past the gate and toward the bridge, look to the right to find an overturned truck with three stimpaks and three metal boxes in its container. Also, look in the corner near the boarded-over door that's just south of the truck's cab to find three radaways and three more metal boxes.
of 11: When you reach the car-clogged start of the bridge, look to the left (west) to find a ruined building that several wildmen are living in. You can optionally kill them for XP and loot before starting across the bridge.
of 11: As you move along on the bridge, watch the ground and rubble piles carefully for traps. You'll probably want to find and disarm them all for XP (and take the frag mines for later use). Note that some frag mines may glitchily be invisible, and that some traps are in the bridge's narrow left and right side areas.
of 11: Keep moving along the bridge and looking for traps, including in the left and right side areas, until you come to where a high-up raider sniper starts firing at you.
of 11: As you move forward, you'll see some escaping slaves run into view ahead. You can just stand and watch in amusement as they get killed by frag mines, or you can rush forward and try to save the poor frag mines.
of 11: Now's the time to don your slave outfit, so go to inventory and do so. Make sure that's all you're wearing, and that you don't have a weapon equipped. (There aren't any more combats ahead, anyway.)
of 11: Look around the street corner for any leftover frag mines, plus a couple of containers and a small camp area to search for misc. items.
of 11: Go down to the east end of the street and wait for the gate to open, then approach Mex to get robbed of all your possessions except your slave outfit and concealed weapon. (You could approach in other gear and kill Mex and his raider pal, but you'd get whacked and robbed soon after, anyway.)
of 11: Find the big door in Mex's area that leads to Downtown, then go through it and move around a bit to finally get the "Unsafe Working Conditions" quest to start.
