Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Riverboat Notes
of 9: She said to meet her there in a day or so, but you probably won't have to wait that long.
of 9: Exit the cathedral and fast-travel to the Point Lookout Pier, and you'll find that she's already there. (Or at least I did -- if that doesn't happen for you, either wait for her or go questing for a while longer.)
of 9: Talk to her to learn that Tobar the Ferryman is the one who does all the evil brain-cutting, and that he's currently confined to the engine room.
of 9: Get out your best gun, then enter the engine room and talk to Tobar.
of 9: As soon as the conversation is over, enter V.A.T.S. mode and blast him.
of 9: Loot his body to find several items, including the unique Grifter's Fit outfit, then check the small table for a familiar piece of brain in a jar.
of 9: You can activate the jar and take the piece of brain, but it's useless as anything other than a grisly souvenir of Point Lookout.
of 9: The good news is that you can get free rides to and from the Capital Wasteland now that Nadine's taken over the boat. All you have to do is use the same old passenger cot and choose to travel.
of 9: The first time you return to the wasteland, find Catherine near the landing and talk to her to get some caps and punga fruit as a reward.
