Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
My new module doesn't show up on the launcher's data files list!
1 of 7: This kept happening to me after I started playing the game on a Windows 7 computer. It apparently has to do with Windows 7 file protections, or something like that. (NOTE: This trick will only work if the account you're logged on to has administrator privileges.)
2 of 7: After saving your module, exit the construction set and bring up Windows Explorer.
3 of 7: Click on your game's install drive under the word "Computer" in the navigation bar that's along the left side of the window, then double-click on the "Program Files (x86)" folder to enter it.
4 of 7: Use double-clicking to enter the "Bethesda Softworks" folder, followed by the "Fallout 3" folder and the "Data" folder.
5 of 7: Your new ESP file is in the Data folder, but it won't show up in the file list until you click on "Compatibility files" on the line above the file list.
6 of 7: Select the ESP file, then right-click on it and choose to cut it.
7 of 7: Paste it in another folder (the drive's root directory would work), then cut it from there and paste it back in the Data folder. That should clear whatever weird attribute it had that made it invisible before.
