Fallout 3 Hints

The Missing Manservant

  • 1 of 11: Go to Tenpenny Tower (location 13 on the Zone 7 Map) and talk to Herbert "Daring" Dashwood.
  • 2 of 11: His room is the west-side one in the Tenpenny Suites area. If he's not there, he'll be wandering around elsewhere in the suites or down in the lobby area.
  • 3 of 11: After asking about his nickname, say that you've met some ghouls, then ask about GNR.
  • 4 of 11: That'll bring up the subject of Argyle, so ask about him to learn that he was Dashwood's faithful manservant until he went missing a long time ago.
  • 5 of 11: To get a lead on Argyle's possible location, access the Exploration Database terminal on the desk near the door of Dashwood's room.
  • 6 of 11: Choose "People" and then "Argyle" to learn that Argyle was last seen by Dashwood in a place called Rockopolis.
  • 7 of 11: That's where the Unarmed bobblehead is, too, so see the hints for getting it.
  • 8 of 11: Right next to the bobblehead is Argyle's body. Loot it, then return to Tenpenny Tower.
  • 9 of 11: Find Dashwood and tell him that Argyle is dead.
  • 10 of 11: As a reward for this information, Dashwood will give you the key to the safe that's by his bed. It contains several nice items, including a mini nuke and a bottlecap mine schematic.
  • 11 of 11: NOTE: Even though Dashwood gave you the key to the safe so you could take its contents, you'd still better not let him or anyone else see you do it.
