Fallout 3 Hints
Raiding Fort Constantine's Armory
of 12: Go to the fort and enter the CO Quarters building.
of 12: Go down the stairs to the room with the locked bunker door.
of 12: You can open the bunker door since you have Ted Strayer's special key, so do that and then enter the Launch Control Bunker area.
of 12: Fight and loot your way through the bunker area to reach the locked door to the Bomb Storage area, which Dukov's special key will open for you.
of 12: In the first room you come to, look along the east wall to find a dead woman named Tara leaning against a locked door.
of 12: Before you open that door (courtesy of Dave's special key), search the woman and take her warhead storage key.
of 12: In the room past the door, you'll find a fat man and two mini nukes on a table, plus some lockers you can raid for items.
of 12: Use the terminal to the right of the table to disable the stasis field that surrounds the T-51b power armor and helmet. That's the best power armor in the game, but you won't be able to wear it until you get power armor training either in the Citadel after finishing the first two sets of Main Quests or by finishing the Operation: Anchorage game add-on. However, it's still useful to get it early and give it to a follower who can wear armor. (See the Followers List.)
of 12: Go back to the outer room and check the two doors along the west wall. If either your Lockpick skill or your Science skill is 100, you can open these doors and pick up lots of extra guns and ammo (but nothing really special).
of 12: Leave the outer room through its south doorway, and go along until you reach a door that Tara's warhead key will open.
of 12: Past it, look to the left of a locked storage room door to find another mini nuke on a desk.
of 12: That's about it for the great stuff here. You can keep exploring to find other things if you like, or just leave. (Tara's key will open the Bomb Storage area's two exit doors, too.)
