Fallout 3 Hints
Vernon Square
1 of 8: This interior region includes the following Zone 9 Map locations: Vernon Square North (23), Vault-Tec Headquarters (24), Vernon Square East (25), Vernon Square Station (34), The Statesman Hotel (35), and Our Lady of Hope Hospital (36). It has exits to four underground metro areas: Freedom Street Station, Metro Junction, Sewer, and Vernon East/Takoma Park.
2 of 8: This area is inhabited by super mutants, so come heavily armed and with many healing items. The tour starts at the Freedom Street Station entrance.
3 of 8: Check the north end of the track area you start in to find the door to the Metro Junction area, then go over to the stairs on the east side. Look up at the high-up bridge that's ahead and shoot down the super mutant who's on it.
4 of 8: After going down the stairs, head NE to find a Pulowski Preservation Shelter with a radiation suit and rad-x in it. Look SE of it for a garbage can, then go south to the doorway that leads into a large wrecked building. It connects to the overhead bridge, which connects to another wrecky building.
5 of 8: Leave the building on its north side and look near the red truck cab for a mail dropbox and a vending machine, then head east to find a knocked-over vending machine, followed by two mail dropboxes to the SE. A ways north of the dropboxes is yet another vending machine near a manhole entrance to the Sewer Entrance area.
6 of 8: The huge hole in the ground only has heavy radiation and a sewer grate entrance to the Sewer area, so go check out the side areas north and NE of the hole while trying to avoid its radiation.
7 of 8: Check the second wrecky building for new super mutants, then go south to the street intersection. East of there is the Statesman Hotel, and a ways to the south is the main entrance to the Our Lady of Hope Hospital.
8 of 8: South of the hospital's main entrance is one last side area to explore and loot.
