Fallout 3 Hints
Franklin Metro Utility
of 14: The only exit this metro area has is the one that leads back to the Falls Church/Mason Dst Metro area, so that's where this guided tour will start.
of 14: Kill off the ghouls in the large starting room, then look around for lots of loot.
of 14: Go down the stairs along the north side of the room and around to reach the even larger lower room, where you'll find lots more ghouls and goodies.
of 14: When you're done looting, go through the door in the east wall and check the trunk in the rubble pile just ahead. It may have items in it, plus a paint gun on top of it, and a steam gauge assembly and motorcycle gas tank near it. (Ignore the screwy ladder nearby.)
of 14: Just a bit south from there is another rubble pile. This one has a toolbox and ammo box on it, a lawn mower blade on the ammo box, and two radaways on the floor near the rubble.
of 14: There's nothing west of that rubble pile, so head east and look for tin cans and ghouls (and a leaf blower and whiskey bottle) on the way to a flooded area.
of 14: Head to the east end of the tunnel to find a radiation suit case underwater with a mini nuke on top of it. The case contains a radiation suit, which you might want to put on to raise your rad resistance.
of 14: Go back to where you can swim north through a hole in the tunnel wall, then quickly leave the water and run past some radioactive barrels to reach the northern track tunnel.
of 14: If you head east past bunches of radioactive barrels, you'll be able to enter a large container that has several things in it, including five ammo boxes, a unique flamer weapon called the Burnmaster, a Nuka-Cola Quantum, rad-x, radaway, and two stimpaks.
of 14: Return to the floor hole you emerged from and go west until you reach a barricade area with lots of supplies.
of 14: Past the second barricade section, check the tracks for tin cans, and the north connecting tunnel for more tin cans, plus shelves with a paint gun on them and a motorcycle gas tank near them. Near those shelves is a table with a first aid box, four bottle caps (on top of the first aid box), a combat helmet, a stimpak, a dart pack, a lunchbox, and two fission batteries.
of 14: Just west of the connecting tunnel are some radioactive barrels that you'll want to run past fast, followed by a side door near a transit car. Past the door are a paint gun, a leaf blower, a lawn mower blade, and a firehose nozzle on the floor.
of 14: In the room beyond that, you'll find a work bench, a steam gauge assembly on the floor, and two sets of shelves. The shelves have two stealth boys, radaway, rad-x, and several weapon-making items.
of 14: When you're done there, you can carefully drop through the big floor hole to end up back in the starting room, from which you can make a quick exit.
