Easy Ways to Raise Karma

  • 1 of 3: Do the "Water Pipe Repairs" undocumented quest and then give scrap metal to Walter for free to increase karma.
  • 2 of 3: If you have some caps to spare, you can gain karma by donating them to the game's two churches. The more caps you donate, the more karma you get.

    * Children of the Atom church in Megaton (Zone 8/3): talk to Confessor Cromwell (who's often preaching next to the bomb) about the church, then offer to donate
    * Saint Monica's Church in Rivet City (Zone 9/64): ask Father Clifford about Saint Monica, then offer to donate
  • 3 of 3: If you have some bottles of purified water (or aqua pura from the Broken Steel add-on), you can give them to the following thirsty beggars for karma increases. Each bottle given adds quite a bit to karma, so you should save all the purified water and aqua pura you find for that -- you can always heal yourself with stimpaks, irradiated food and water, and other items.

    * Micky: just NE of Megaton's front gate, near a rusty old car (Zone 8/3)
    * Carlos: sitting near the intercom that you have to use to get the Rivet City bridge rotated (Zone 9/64)
    * Willy: just SE of Tenpenny Tower's front gate, next to a dead tree and some rocks (Zone 7/13)
