How can I trick Laren into getting killed?
1 of 5: Work on the misc. quest "The Nuka-Cola Challenge" until you meet Laren, which happens when you exit Sierra's shack following her tour.
2 of 5: Talk to him about Sierra and her precious Nuka-Cola until you get a special Black Widow dialogue topic.
3 of 5: Use it to get him to run off to the Nuka-Cola Plant (location 11 on the Zone 8 Map) and get himself killed.
4 of 5: Go do other things for awhile, then go to the plant and enter the Factory Floor area.
5 of 5: If Laren isn't lying dead on the floor right next to the entry doors, leave and try again later. He'll show up there eventually, and you can get his shotgun then.
