Fallout 3 Hints
Kill Roy Phillips and his followers.
of 14: Start your search for Phillips and his fellow ghouls at the nearby Warrington Trainyard (location 11 on the Zone 7 Map).
of 14: Look around, shooting feral ghouls as they attack you, until you find the door that leads to the Warrington Tunnels.
of 14: Go through it and get the assault rifle and ammo clips from the floor before going through the next door.
of 14: Head down the large transit tunnel, watching out for radioactive barrels and feral ghouls as you go. When you reach the spot where rubble blocks the tunnel, go through the nearby door.
of 14: In the room beyond, proceed cautiously forward, since there are a lot of hostile ghouls ahead. You'll want to employ sneakery and retreat-and-fire tactics to take them all down one or two at a time.
of 14: When it's safe, move on to the room with the big generator, and then into the next large tunnel section. When you come to the first transit car, go to the right of it and search near a skeleton for another assault rifle and an ammo box.
of 14: From there, you can head south for some optional combat and a locked supply room (and radioactive barrels), or you can skip that and head north along the right side of the transit cars.
of 14: When you come to another rubble blockade, go through the nearby door and turn right. Skip the left side hall when you come to it, and you'll soon reach a room with some supplies on shelves and a door to the Warrington Station area.
of 14: After you go through that door, turn left and go forward until Michael Masters greets you from a distance. Run up the escalator to the mezzanine's upper floor and talk to Masters, saying that you're there to see Roy Phillips.
of 14: End the conversation, then follow Masters as he leads you to Phillips and Bessie Lynn. Once you meet them, you have several choices as to what to do next.
of 14: One is to just quickly kill off Phillips, Masters, and Lynn. If you do this, you'll get the "Report back to Chief Gustavo" objective. (However, this way isn't recommended, since you won't be able to get the unique ghoul mask item.)
of 14: If you'd rather help the ghouls take Tenpenny Tower by force, ask Phillips what he's doing in the metro tunnels, then say you might be able to get him into Tenpenny Tower. Agree to help him unleash feral ghouls on the tower to get the "Help the Ghouls get into Tenpenny Tower, or Kill Roy Phillips ..." objective. (This is a bad-karma route, but it's by *far* the most lucrative one.)
of 14: Another way to accomplish the slaughter of the tower's residents is to go back there without speaking to Phillips and start killing everyone yourself. However, this isn't a good way to go, and is likely to get you killed. (Unless you use the Mez Tip to greatly "thin the herd" first.)
of 14: One final option is to try to get Allistair Tenpenny to allow the ghouls to live in the tower along with everyone else, which is all that Phillips really wants.
