Fallout 3 Hints
Enslave the sniper Arkansas from Minefield.
1 of 10: It's best to approach the town of Minefield from the north.
2 of 10: Travel to the MDPL-13 Power Station (location 9 on the Zone 2 Map), and go over next to the south wall of the large derelict power plant building.
3 of 10: Turn so that the direction arrow on your compass is pointing exactly halfway between SE and S, then move straight ahead until you come near a big ruined building. That's where Arkansas is hiding out.
4 of 10: Run and jump around on the high-up rocks near his building until he sees you, then quickly run down the slope and up to the building's nearest wall.
5 of 10: Turn left and move to a spot next to the corner, then get out the mesmetron, quicksave, and wait for Arkansas to run into view.
6 of 10: Immediately go into V.A.T.S. mode and target his head with one shot. If you miss, quickrestore and try again so as to conserve ammo.
7 of 10: As soon as you get him mesmerized, run up to him and talk to him.
8 of 10: Use the dialogue option that lets you take all his items, then use the option that gets the slave collar put on him.
9 of 10: Tell him to run to Paradise Falls, then fast-travel there yourself. (You may have to wait a bit or run back north first, since Arkansas still counts as an enemy.)
10 of 10: When you arrive in Paradise Falls, Grouse will talk to you and give you your reward, plus another slave collar.
