Fallout 3 Hints

Locate Ian West.

  • 1 of 9: Go through the gate that Robert opens for you to reach his living area, where you might want to sneakily steal some stuff (after quicksaving).
  • 2 of 9: Go past the living area to find a short tunnel that leads to a door to the Meresti Metro Station, which is the Family's main hideout.
  • 3 of 9: Go down the tunnel that leads to the large mezzanine area, then go up one of the escalators and look around for Vance.
  • 4 of 9: Talk to him without provoking him too much, and he'll give you the Family's terminal password.
  • 5 of 9: Head up the ramp to the south, then go past the turnstiles and on to a doorway with a "RESTROOM" sign to the left of it.
  • 6 of 9: Use the terminal on the wall just past the doorway to open the locked door.
  • 7 of 9: Use the terminal to unlock the security area door, then go through the door to find Ian West.
  • 8 of 9: Talk to him until you get a Speech Challenge about getting him to return home.
  • 9 of 9: Since you have Lucy's letter, you don't have to pass the challenge, but can just hand it over to get Ian to decide to go home.
