Fallout 3 Hints
Ranger Compound Notes
1 of 7: Go down the street to the NE of the mail dropboxes.
2 of 7: After you turn south, look along the left side to find two alley entrances with the crossed-sword symbol of Reilly's Rangers painted on the walls next to them.
3 of 7: Check all the trash bins as you explore the alley, then emerge into an area with a big "circle man" statue and the Ranger Compound building.
4 of 7: Check around the statue for a couple of garbage cans, then go through the ruined outer building's doorway.
5 of 7: Straight ahead is the door to the Ranger Compound interior. If you can't pick its lock or hack the terminal next to it, you'll have to get the terminal's password.
6 of 7: That's not all that's here, though. Use the outer ruins' stairs to get up to the third floor, then look around for several filing cabinets, a searchable desk, three ammo boxes on metal shelves, and two more ammo boxes next to two first aid boxes on a boarded-over floor hole.
7 of 7: NOTE: There are three Nuka-Cola vending machines on the fourth floor, but there's no non-cheat way to get up there.
