Fallout 3 Hints
Seward Square
1 of 12: This interior region includes the following Zone 9 Map locations: The Capitol Building (51), Seward Sq. Northwest (56), Seward Sq. North Metro (57), Ranger Compound (58), and Seward Sq. Southeast (59). It has exits to three underground metro areas: Anacostia Crossing Station, Penn. Ave/Seward Sq. Metro, and Sewer.
2 of 12: This area is inhabited by super mutants, so come heavily armed and with many healing items. The tour starts at the Anacostia Crossing Station entrance.
3 of 12: Go up the stairs and look to the left. You should be able to see some super mutants moving around just past a short brick wall. Let them see you, then quickly retreat to the bottom of the stairs and wait for them to approach. (One of them has a missile launcher, and you'll want to fight him up close so he'll switch to another weapon.)
4 of 12: After they're all down, look around inside the brick wall perimeter for four garbage cans, then go east to find a truck container. Look inside it for a sawed-off shotgun next to a dead wastelander, some tin cans, a baby carriage bomb (disarm if possible), a bed, two first aid boxes, and two ammo boxes.
5 of 12: Next, do the "Crazy Nuke Preacher" undocumented quest to get some frag mines and mini nukes. At the north end of the preacher's alley, look around for some super mutants to shoot, including one who's on top of a truck container to the west.
6 of 12: After you've killed everything you can from there, check the two nearby mail dropboxes, then go loot the Ranger Compound area.
7 of 12: Return to the north end of the nuke preacher's alley and get on the small bridge that's nearby. Use your sniper rifle (if you have one) to help you see and shoot super mutants and centaurs in the large square to the west, then cross the bridge and check out the square for supplies.
8 of 12: There's a Talon Company merc with a sniper rifle on the overhead covered bridge that's just north of the Office Building door. Make sure the merc sees you, then hide next to the door and wait for him to come through it.
9 of 12: After he's dead and looted, enter the Office Building and make your way to the exit that leads to the merc's covered bridge.
11 of 12: Go under the covered bridge and look around for dead bodies to loot, plus a Pulowski Preservation Shelter in a west-side niche with tables. The shelter contains a Speech skill book, a suitcase, and four bundles of pre-war money.
12 of 12: As you head north toward the Capitol Building's entrance, you'll find more super mutants and mercs fighting it out. Let them finish their battle, then kill off the survivors. Loot them, then go NE to find a side area with a garbage can near some tables.
