Fallout 3 Hints
Eliminate all five Nest Guardians from the Ant Queen's Hatchery.
1 of 7: After you finish talking to Dr. Lesko, follow him as he leads you to the entry door to the hatchery.
2 of 7: Be sure to have plenty of ammo and several frag mines when you enter the hatchery and start killing off its guardians. Go back to Megaton or somewhere else to resupply if needed.
3 of 7: Lay a few frag mines along the path that leads to the hatchery door, then go get a guardian ant's attention and lead it through your mines.
4 of 7: Also, retreat back to the Marigold Station area if you need a break in the middle of battle.
5 of 7: After you kill a guardian, loot its body to see if you can get some fire ant nectar, which can be imbibed to get a temporary +25 to fire resistance. (It can also be sold to Dr. Lesko after the quest is over.)
6 of 7: Before you get all five guardians, you'll come across the entrance to the ant queen's chamber.
7 of 7: Don't fire on her, and don't stand where she can spit gook at you. Instead, run quickly by and continue hunting down the guardian ants until you get all five of them.
