Machinery Room Combat Tips

  • 1 of 19: If you don't keep a particle weapon with you all the time, then temporarily trade a weapon out for the particle weapon that's in the padlocked side area just previous to this room.
  • 2 of 19: Open the door to the machinery room, holster your weapon, and run around to the right side of the room so that you're directly underneath the overhead catwalk.
  • 3 of 19: Stop in the first corner you come to that's underneath the catwalk and get your weapon ready.
  • 4 of 19: Watch for a Replica to appear from behind the large greenish machine that's closest to you.
  • 5 of 19: You'll be able to hear his footsteps as he approaches, so time the start of your SlowMo-shooting to coincide with his arrival in your sights.
  • 6 of 19: As soon as he's down, turn SlowMo off and move along under the catwalk to the next corner in the room. (The one just past the Replica you shot down.)
  • 7 of 19: Wait there for a bit, then go back the way you came, ready to SlowMo-shoot a Replica who's just taken up position next to the nearest machine.
  • 8 of 19: NOTE: If he isn't there, do the two catwalk Replicas (see below), and then go back to him. (He should say "Advancing!" when he's moving into position, so listen for that.)
  • 9 of 19: Now you need to take down the Replica who's up on the catwalk directly above you.
  • 10 of 19: Go over to the spot near the first Replica you shot down, then move out from under the catwalk very slowly until you can shoot the Replica up there without him shooting you.
  • 11 of 19: As soon as he's dead, get back under the catwalk and walk along underneath it until another Replica appears up there.
  • 12 of 19: When he does, shoot him down in the same way and from the same spot as you did the first catwalking Replica.
  • 13 of 19: It's now safe to go around collecting weapons, and to climb up onto the catwalk using the ladder at its far end. You can get a medkit from the small side room up there.
  • 14 of 19: But you're not home free yet. There are two more Replicas in the general vicinity.
  • 15 of 19: Find the large passage in one wall that's fairly near the catwalk's ladder.
  • 16 of 19: Go down it and turn right, ready to SlowMo-shoot a Replica who's either at the top of the nearby stairs, or just about to walk over there.
  • 17 of 19: Note that there's an explosive electrical box on the left wall up at the top of the stairs that you can use to help kill this Replica or the second one (if he comes over to investigate).
  • 18 of 19: If the second Replica remains in the room past the top of the stairs, sneak up the stairs and strafe left in SlowMo mode until you can see him.
  • 19 of 19: Shoot the fire extinguisher that's on the wall just to the left of the Replica first, then finish him off with your selected weapon.
