F.E.A.R. Extraction Point Hints
Assassin Combat Tips
of 20: When you come to double doors that you can push open only a little ways due to blockage on the other side, you'll be close to the assassin nest.
of 20: GLITCH WARNING: Save your game before you approach the double doors and the "scary assassin" music starts up. When that happens, an assassin knocks some junk around in the area past the double doors, and one piece of it may glitchily block your only way into that area. If it does, restore your save and try again.
of 20: Go around to the right of the blocked double doors to find a smaller door that you can open, followed by an open doorway (which hopefully isn't blocked by glitchy junk).
of 20: Past that open doorway, you can turn right to get to the entrance to the large, dark room with several giant blue cylinders in it.
of 20: That room is where the assassins are hiding out.
of 20: To get the attention of the first assassin or two, move into the room a short way.
of 20: Then quickly run back the way you came, closing the small door you opened earlier behind you.
of 20: Now break out the glass in the left double door and shoot through it.
of 20: The assassins can run up to the double doors and punch you through the window you're using, so back up quickly if one's about to do that. (Or just stand a bit back from the door all the time.)
of 20: Even if they don't run up to you, you should still be able to make them out in the distance, since their cloaking outfits look all staticky rather than making them truly invisible.
of 20: I advise using SlowMo and the laser carbine to fry them as they appear.
of 20: Note that there's an explosive electrical box on the left wall not too far into the room past the double doors. If an assassin is close to it, you can shoot it to blow him up.
of 20: There are four assassins in all, but usually only two will come after you if you only go a short way into their room before retreating.
of 20: Save your game once those two are down, then go a bit farther into their room to get the third assassin's attention.
of 20: This third one may also be shy, running off and hiding if you injure him without killing him, which forces you to go in after him. Try to SlowMo-shoot him to death the first time you see him to avoid this nuisance.
of 20: As for the fourth and final one, he's a sitting duck in an area past the main assassin room.
of 20: Go through that room, crouch-walking under pipes when necessary, and find the smaller rooms beyond it.
of 20: The one off to the right has some supplies, and the one to the left with the ladder and upper walkway is where the assassin's hiding.
of 20: You see him up there on the wall near the upper walkway, looking all fizzly?
of 20: You can't shoot him through the walkway, so crouch-walk around on the lower floor until you can SlowMo-shoot him (hopefully before he sees you and leaps off the wall).
