How do I obtain Madame Zyz's crystal ball?
1 of 18: Enter Madame Zyz's salon.
2 of 18: She is not there but her crystal ball is.
3 of 18: Take it.
4 of 18: No way! The Genie is guarding it.
5 of 18: Talk to the Genie. Even though a lot of this dialog is not essential, he is a most amusing character!
6 of 18: You can leave him (and return) whenever you like, but you MUST persist until eventually he will promise "to make something appear by magic"!
7 of 18: He will give you (an important) glow-in-the-dark pal. He will also give you a lot of vital info concerning how long the crystal ball lasts, etc.
8 of 18: It begins to appear that Gilbert will have to travel into the future, to that particular day when the crystal ball will stop working and Madame Zyz won't be able to see into the future.
9 of 18: Then, you need to get her crystal ball in the future.
10 of 18: Use the time machine, and you're at Madame Zyz's, but 10 years into the future. You can always return to the present via the time portal (near the right edge of the screen). If you try to enter her front door it will be locked -- she's closed "at present". But you can use the time machine as often as you like and you will get to her "in the future".
11 of 18: Talk to her.
12 of 18: Try taking her (broken) crystal ball.
13 of 18: Nothing you attempt will induce her to give it to you.
14 of 18: Suppose you could make her more generous!?
15 of 18: But for that you're going to need some "generosity potion"!
