Gothic 3 Hints
Liberate Montera from the orcs!
1 of 11: To get this mission, finish the "A Message for Okara" mission, then do enough missions to get your Montera reputation up to 75 or higher.
2 of 11: Once it's high enough, enter the castle area and speak to Varek, then return to Sanford.
3 of 11: He'll say that you need to kill Varek, and that the rebels are ready to assist in freeing Montera.
4 of 11: Fortunately, when you attack Varek, the other orcs will just look on until you defeat him.
5 of 11: When you do and they turn hostile, make a quick run for the exit from the castle area. (Or better yet, run that way before killing Varek -- he'll follow you.)
6 of 11: Run for a city exit, then turn and fight when you think you can do so without being overwhelmed.
7 of 11: NOTE: If you go for the city's west exit, you may get surrounded since the mercenaries at the nearby stockyard will often run over and start attacking you.
8 of 11: Even with the slaves helping, it'll be a *huge* pain to kill enough orcs and mercenaries to cause the remainder to flee and leave the city to the rebels. (Unless you used the general Liberation Tips to thin out the herd before starting the liberation fights.)
9 of 11: When they do give up and run off, you'll get 5000 XP and five Rebel rep points, plus XP for all the fleeing orcs and mercenaries.
10 of 11: Report success to Sanford to get three healing potions, three mana potions, 500 gold, and 1500 XP.
11 of 11: Also, report to Roland in Okara for 1980 gold and 1500 XP.
