How can I get past the beavers on the dam?
1 of 15: First of all, if you haven't found the beavers, there are two paths that will take you to them. One of them requires finding your way around the maze of openings on one end of the forest. The other requires that you upgrade the Bone Wagon and take it on the top road from the central screen in the Petrified Forest.
2 of 15: Note that Manny will automatically run away from the beavers the first time he walks onto the dam screen. But as long as he doesn't walk up close to them, he can return to that screen without being frightened away.
3 of 15: The beavers like bones.
4 of 15: Maybe you could throw them a few.
5 of 15: There were some back at the spider web that held Glottis's heart, if you don't remember them. Manny will take as many as you want him to take -- I recommend picking up a few to start with.
6 of 15: Throwing a bone at the beavers isn't going to calm them down, though.
7 of 15: You'll have to do something to put out their fire as well.
8 of 15: I mean that literally.
9 of 15: You should have a fire extinguisher from the DOD in your inventory.
10 of 15: Walk to the left side of the dam, so that you're on a new screen looking over the river.
11 of 15: Notice that the beavers will walk onto the ledge above and behind you.
12 of 15: And if you throw a bone into the river, they will jump off to get the bone.
13 of 15: You can extinguish them as they're jumping into the river.
14 of 15: The timing takes a little practice, but if you use the extinguisher when the beaver first shouts out before he jumps after the bone, the beaver will cross the path of the extinguisher just in time. The beaver will then be put out.
15 of 15: You need to repeat this successfully on three beavers before it's safe to cross the bridge.
