Half-Life 2: Episode One Hints
Tunnel Combat Tips
1 of 6: Thankfully, the two indestructible ceiling turrets are out of bullets, so you won't need to pay any attention to them.
2 of 6: You'll just need to watch out for headcrabs, zombies, and hoppers as you make your way along.
3 of 6: Hoppers, for those of you who don't know, are explosive gadgets with three little "legs" that they can use to affix themselves to a horizontal surface, and then hop up and explode when an enemy comes too close.
4 of 6: You may see a hopper blow up a zombie or two as you make your way down the tunnel.
5 of 6: When you come to one that hasn't exploded, pull it up with the gravity gun and either throw it at a zombie to blow it up, or drop it gently to reset it and make it friendly to you.
6 of 6: It would really help to save the hoppers for tougher combats later on, so grab chunks of concrete and other items to throw at zombies' heads or just stand back and let Alyx take care of them.
